Software Engineer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and improve backend solutions utilizing Java (17+) and the Spring ecosystem, emphasizing security, performance, scalability, and high availability.

• Design and create REST APIs, microservices, and distributed applications for key Cybersecurity products and services.

• Build authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms leveraging OAuth2, JWT, API Gateway, and rate limiting.

• Integrate enterprise systems with identity and access management (IAM) solutions, LDAP directories, and other security platforms.

• Implement event-driven solutions and asynchronous integrations using messaging technologies.

• Engage in application modernization by linking legacy systems with new platforms.

• Perform analyses and optimizations on performance, observability, caching, load balancing, and asynchronous processing.

• Ensure secure development practices through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish architectures, design solutions, and address information security risks.

• Stay informed on Cybersecurity trends, standards, and best practices, contributing to the advancement of products, processes, and technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in backend development utilizing Java (version 17+).

• Proficiency with Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.

• Experience in software architecture, solution design, and distributed applications.

• Familiarity with messaging and event-driven architecture, preferably Kafka.

• Experience with relational databases and SQL.

• Proficient with the non-relational MongoDB database.

• Understanding of performance, scalability, caching, load balancing, observability, and asynchronous processing.

• Background in secure development, authentication, and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, API Gateway, rate limiting).

• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD practices.

• Ability to thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments across multiple business contexts.

• Experience with LDAP, Active Directory, or OpenLDAP is preferred.

• Knowledge of queries and integrations with LDAP directories is preferred.

• Familiarity with WebLogic, SOAP/XML, and legacy systems is preferred.

• Experience with application modernization and migration initiatives is preferred.

• Background in financial institutions, banks, credit unions, or fintechs is preferred.

• Understanding of internal development platforms and cloud environments is preferred.

• Experience with AWS and related services is preferred.

• Cloud Computing certifications are preferred.

• Familiarity with SonarQube and Checkmarx is preferred.
