Software Engineer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and implement features for back-end systems utilizing Java, ensuring both code quality and scalability.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to gather business requirements and convert them into impactful technical solutions.

• Maintain and enhance current systems by identifying and rectifying defects and performance issues.

• Actively engage in code reviews, advocating for development best practices and ensuring high software quality.

• Employ Git for version control, promoting collaboration and effective change management across projects.

• Contribute to system documentation, ensuring that information remains current and accessible to the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in back-end development with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.

• Proficiency in developing REST APIs.

• Experience with SQL and MongoDB databases.

• Understanding of domain modeling and business rule implementation.

• Familiarity with relational databases and JPA/Hibernate.

• Experience in automated testing using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, or similar.

• Proficient in Git and best practices for version control.

• Knowledge of Clean Code principles, SOLID principles, and exception handling.

• Experience working within agile methodologies.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture.

• Experience in integrating with APIs and external services.

• Understanding of observability and logging practices.

• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD methodologies.

• Experience in financial services, credit, or cooperative banking solutions.

• Knowledge of application performance and scalability considerations.
