This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Develop iOS experiences that enhance account functionalities for millions of guests and hosts of Airbnb.
β’ Take ownership of well-defined features from technical design to launch.
β’ Create and implement iOS features utilizing modern, declarative UI and unidirectional state architecture.
β’ Collaborate with product and design teams to transform concepts into refined, accessible iOS experiences.
β’ Work alongside backend, Android, and web engineers to ensure feature behavior and data consistency across all platforms.
β’ Write clean, maintainable code that is well-tested and engage in code and design reviews.
β’ Learn from and collaborate with senior engineers.
β’ Contribute to shared iOS patterns and best practices as the team expands.
β’ Diagnose and fix bugs, as well as address performance and reliability issues affecting the iOS application.
β’ Collaborate with Payments and Wallet engineering, Identity & Privacy, Profile & Community, and Guest & Host product, design, and data science partners.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of professional iOS engineering experience, including the deployment of features in a large-scale, consumer-facing production application.
β’ Proficient in Swift and modern iOS architecture, including declarative UI frameworks such as SwiftUI, unidirectional state management (MVI/MVVM/Redux-style), and dependency injection.
β’ Experience collaborating with backend and other platform engineers for API integration and maintaining consistency across platforms.
β’ Proven history of delivering features from technical design through launch and iterations, demonstrating increasing scope and independence.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, along with a proactive approach to seeking and responding to feedback.
β’ Comfortable navigating ambiguity within a newly formed team.
β’ Strong grasp of mobile app performance, accessibility, and release/CI practices relevant to large-scale consumer applications.
β’ Must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. maintains a registered entity.
