
Software Engineer β Internal Tools, HR Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Georgia, +7 more countries.
β’ Take charge of Salmon's Frontline Employees Database to facilitate HR and operational processes for approximately 4,000 frontline employees.
β’ Enhance Frontline Database capabilities, encompassing employee and candidate profiles, access and account information, time-off records, shift scheduling, and selected operational metrics.
β’ Execute projects involving development, integrations, data mapping, documentation, and process enhancement.
β’ Manage solutions comprehensively by grasping business requirements, clarifying needs, proposing effective strategies, and delivering functional MVPs.
β’ Work closely with HR, Operations, People Partners, and Support teams.
β’ Expand integrations with HiBob, Ashby, and other internal systems.
β’ Design, construct, and sustain automation and integration workflows using n8n.
β’ Develop and refine PostgreSQL data architectures for tailored internal solutions.
β’ Create internal applications, forms, and user interfaces utilizing Retool.
β’ Integrate HR and enterprise systems via REST APIs, webhooks, Python, and/or JavaScript.
β’ Conduct testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and maintenance of solutions.
β’ Manage internal support requests for existing tools and workflows, which constitutes around 20% of the role.
β’ Evolve MVP solutions into dependable internal products as processes and requirements change.
β’ Practical experience with n8n, Make, or alternative low-code automation platforms.
β’ Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases.
β’ Ability to independently query, validate, and interpret data.
β’ Experience using Retool or similar platforms for creating internal applications and forms.
β’ Proficient in Python and/or JavaScript for scripting and automation tasks.
β’ Understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and prevalent integration patterns.
β’ Basic knowledge of testing, debugging, and error management.
β’ Proactive work approach and capability to make sound technical decisions autonomously.
β’ Proficient English skills for collaboration with international stakeholders.
