This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software applications for both enhancements and new products.
• Create software and tools to support design, infrastructure, and technological platforms.
• Offer operational support for Java-based applications and services currently in production.
• Diagnose application, server, and infrastructure problems to swiftly restore services.
• Analyze logs, performance metrics, and system behavior to uncover root causes.
• Provide support for Linux-based server environments and application infrastructure.
• Create and maintain automation scripts and tools aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure teams.
• Engage in incident response, root cause analysis, and production support tasks.
• Monitor application health, system performance, and availability.
• Document operational procedures and troubleshooting manuals.
• Suggest improvements to system reliability, scalability, and automation.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from an accredited college or university and 5 to 8 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Expert-level experience in supporting and troubleshooting Java applications.
• Strong proficiency in Linux server administration.
• Experience in supporting production environments with stringent availability requirements.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or similar.
• Proficient in Python scripting.
• Working knowledge of Go (Golang).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with diverse development programs.
• Ability to rapidly learn customer support processes, tools, and techniques.
• Understanding of how to configure third-party software components and technologies.
• Capability to conduct root cause analysis of network, operating system, and other issues.
• Ability to collaborate and work remotely, including the use of communication tools.
• Skill to multi-task and self-organize, prioritizing activities effectively.
• Experience utilizing monitoring systems.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to perform office-related tasks which may involve prolonged sitting or standing.
• Must be capable of moving around within an office environment.
• Must be able to operate a computer.
• Must possess effective communication skills.
• Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
