Software Engineer II, Solutions Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy proprietary and integrated tools to reduce repetitive manual tasks.

• Take ownership of enhancements and moderately complex features in automation and integrations.

• Collaborate with commercial, product, and engineering teams.

• Contribute to root cause analyses and identify preventive solutions.

• Expand upon existing templates, standards, and automation for reusable implementations.

• Leverage AI-assisted development and modern automation techniques to deliver swift solutions.

• Work closely with senior engineers to enhance team proficiency across the technology stack.

• Engage in the on-call rotation, manage issue triage, support team members, and assist with internal investigations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in writing clean, tested, and efficient production code.

• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails, or exceptional backend engineering experience in another language with a readiness to quickly learn Rails.

• Proficient in relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Experience in building and utilizing APIs and integrations across service boundaries.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and regular use of AI coding assistants.

• Experience with workflow automation platforms such as Tines, n8n, or similar tools.

• Proven ability to create API-driven automation workflows.

• Demonstrated history of delivering measurable improvements to well-defined challenges.

• Strong skills in debugging and optimization.

• Good understanding of SDLC processes and frameworks.

• Ability to quickly adapt to unfamiliar codebases and determine when to consult with system owners.

• Bonus: experience with React or Vue.

• Bonus: experience in healthcare or regulated/data-sensitive domains.

• Bonus: experience in solutions engineering, implementation, or customer-facing technical roles.
