Software Engineer II – Dev Accelerator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Enhance and advance the internal developer platform at Abnormal AI.

• Take ownership of impactful projects involving CLI tools, CI/CD pipelines, shared libraries, and testing infrastructure.

• Collaborate with technologies such as Python, Go, Bazel, Kubernetes, AWS, and CI systems to ensure the Golden Path is efficient, dependable, and user-friendly.

• Design AI-native abstractions and workflows that are accessible to both humans and AI agents.

• Lead multi-quarter projects as an individual contributor.

• Work closely with product engineering, Infrastructure, SRE, Security, and other collaborative teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a software engineer or in a related position.

• Expertise in utilizing AI tools to enhance engineering results through the discovery, design, implementation, and deployment of software systems.

• Experience or a strong interest in applying LLMs to optimize developer workflows.

• Familiarity with Python, Golang, Bazel, AWS, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.

• Proven experience in building or maintaining CLI tools, scaffolding systems, or internal frameworks used by fellow engineers.

• Background in test data management, integration/E2E test infrastructure, or bad-test detection.

• Practical experience with CLI development.

• Proficient in YAML/Jinja2-style templating.

• Experienced in modern type hints and typing discipline, including typing, dataclasses/attrs, and Pydantic-style patterns.

• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as pytest, Ginkgo, or similar.

• Experience in developing shared libraries and services using gRPC/HTTP.

• Skilled in authoring reusable workflows.
