This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Create and enhance services, automation, and developer tools that empower engineering teams to release and deploy software to production safely.
• Develop advanced deployment capabilities such as progressive rollouts, deployment health assessments, and automated rollback processes.
• Enhance visibility into releases, deployments, configurations, and the state of production systems.
• Boost the reliability, performance, observability, and usability of delivery systems by diagnosing persistent issues and implementing sustainable improvements.
• Replace manual or fragmented release processes with reusable, self-service solutions.
• Leverage AI throughout the software development and problem-solving processes.
• Identify areas for AI-driven automation to enhance the safety, speed, and ease of software delivery operations.
• Independently execute well-defined engineering projects.
• Contribute to the technical design aspects.
• Collaborate with Developer Platform, Cloud Platform, Site Reliability Engineering, Security, and product engineering teams.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent), along with 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience in developing production software using one or more general-purpose programming languages.
• Background in designing, building, testing, and operating production software or infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, deployment systems, developer tooling, or backend services.
• Experience in independently delivering well-scoped software engineering projects from technical design through to production operation.
• Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools throughout various stages of the software engineering lifecycle.
• Preferred: experience with Kubernetes, AWS, containers, and infrastructure as code.
• Preferred: knowledge of deployment platforms, release automation, internal developer platforms, or developer tooling.
• Preferred: experience with progressive delivery practices such as canary deployments, automated health analyses, and rollback procedures.
• Preferred: familiarity with GitOps or deployment technologies like Argo CD, Helm, or similar systems.
• Preferred: experience using AI-assisted development tools across the software engineering lifecycle or developing AI-enabled developer workflows and automation.
• For positions based in Canada, candidates must not reside in Quebec.
