Software Engineer II, Core Edge Processing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and deploy production code across the routing and processing infrastructure.

• Take ownership of well-defined features and bug fixes from design discussions to production implementation.

• Engage in the on-call rotation and respond to incidents for live payment systems.

• Enhance your expertise in Java, distributed systems, and payment processing through hands-on projects.

• Collaborate with senior and staff engineers to broaden your technical scope.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience.

• Proven experience in deploying and managing mission-critical services in AWS.

• Strong foundations in Java programming.

• Proficient in debugging and resolving production issues.

• Enthusiasm for learning about distributed systems and payment processing.

• Excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to asking questions, and openness to feedback.

• Preferred: Experience with payment processing, card issuing, or network integration concepts.

• Preferred: Knowledge of cryptography or key management concepts.

• Preferred: Previous on-call or production support experience.
