Software Engineer II, Backend – Streaming

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Decompose larger projects into smaller tasks and deliver them in various stages.

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure on-time delivery.

• Engage with product management, design, and analytics during the ideation and decision-making processes.

• Clearly communicate technical constraints and evaluate risks and trade-offs.

• Develop and monitor metrics for team deliverables.

• Address operational challenges and assist with ongoing support and on-call responsibilities.

• Take part in growth and development initiatives, including participation in interviews.

• Discover and implement new use cases for data infrastructure.

• Design and scale streaming infrastructure effectively.

• Foster the optimal utilization of data throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and launching backend systems.

• Proficient in Python or Kotlin.

• Knowledge of distributed systems.

• Familiarity with AWS, Kafka, Flink, and Kubernetes.

• Capable of designing solutions that interact with multiple software components.

• Skilled in writing clear, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Comfortable navigating extensive codebases and debugging code written by others.

• Experience in providing constructive feedback through code reviews.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
