Software Engineer II, Backend, Batch Developer Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Decompose larger projects into smaller tasks and deliver them across multiple phases.

• Collaborate with colleagues, product management, design, and analytics to make product decisions and evaluate trade-offs.

• Develop and track metrics, escalate issues as necessary, and assist with operational availability and on-call responsibilities.

• Engage in growth and development activities, which include conducting interviews.

• Design and build tools and systems that enhance batch development and testing, while ensuring the reliability of essential batch workloads.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1.5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying backend systems.

• Proficiency in either Python or Kotlin.

• Knowledge of distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.

• Capability to design solutions that involve multiple software components.

• Ability to write clear, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Experience in navigating extensive codebases and debugging the code of others.

• Background in providing constructive feedback through code reviews.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
