Principal Developer Advocate – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Advocate, empower, and assist developers in creating solutions utilizing Autodesk Platform Services and associated Autodesk APIs.

• Develop high-quality sample applications, SDKs, and reference code that exemplify best practices.

• Create developer-oriented tutorials, how-to guides, blog articles, and short demonstrations for communities and events.

• Offer technical support and troubleshoot issues for partners and customers integrating APS APIs.

• Replicate issues and collaborate with engineering to coordinate fixes.

• Work alongside product and engineering teams to shape API design and enhance the developer experience.

• Maintain runbooks and onboarding processes.

• Deliver reference implementations and sample code for Model Context Protocol servers and clients.

• Utilize generative AI tools to expedite prototypes, sample generation, and documentation drafts, while ensuring quality and security.

• Travel to conferences and meet-ups on a regular basis, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 30%.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering or roles focused on developer engagement (web/cloud/native).

• Practical experience with REST APIs, SDKs, and contemporary web/cloud technology stacks.

• Capability to produce clean, tested sample code.

• Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization methods, including OAuth2 flows and service accounts.

• Secure integration practices.

• Proficient with Agentic AI, Skills, and SDD.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable presenting to technical audiences.

• Prior experience in developer advocacy, developer support, or partner-facing engineering is preferred.

• Familiarity with APS/Forge or Autodesk product APIs is preferred.

• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or .NET; knowledge of Docker and cloud deployment patterns is preferred.

• Understanding of MCP, MCP server/client patterns, or agentic AI integration concepts is a plus.
