Software Engineer, Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and improve Go APIs and workers that serve as the authentication gateway and manage financial requests.

• Engage in authentication and authorization processes (OAuth2, JWT, certificates, IDP, SK).

• Maintain and enhance API Gateway plugins, ensuring comprehensive resilience and observability.

• Guarantee high availability, performance, and minimal latency in edge services that handle substantial traffic volumes.

• Participate in the Kubernetes deployment lifecycle, including observability and incident response.

• Document modifications made.

• Construct and uphold production systems with an emphasis on performance, scalability, security, availability, reliability, and resilience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to pinpoint gaps in architecture and development processes, proposing effective solutions.

• Perform code and documentation reviews.

• Implement automated testing and adhere to CI/CD best practices.

• Develop software using Go (5+ years of production experience, particularly with highly critical services).

• Possess strong expertise in authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, and certificate management).

• Exhibit a strong emphasis on security, including secrets management, encryption, and hardening exposed APIs.

• Have practical experience with Kubernetes and deploying containerized applications.

• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL), non-relational databases (MongoDB), and distributed caching systems (Redis).

• Collaborate with the team on architectural decisions, conduct code reviews, and provide technical mentoring.

• Experience with API Gateway architecture; familiarity with Kong is advantageous.

• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS (ECS, EKS, RDS, ElastiCache).

• Prior experience with GitOps tools and methodologies, including Argo CD.

• Knowledge of and interest in financial markets, payment systems, or payment methods.
