Senior Backend Engineer, Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of your modules and services from design to deployment.

• Create new features, enhance current systems, and promote scalability.

• Collaborate closely with the CTO on technical priorities and direction.

• Design and manage data-processing pipelines for millions of product records.

• Perform code reviews and contribute to the establishment of engineering standards.

• Gradually assume an Engineering Lead role.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience with Go in production, encompassing concurrency, worker patterns, and service architecture.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.

• Experience in REST API design, including JWT, OAuth, API keys, and middleware.

• Familiarity with web scraping, including TLS fingerprinting, proxy management, and anti-bot techniques.

• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and workflows involving multiple repositories.

• Experience with Kafka or event streaming is advantageous.

• Familiarity with ClickHouse or analytics databases is a plus.

• Basic understanding of operations fundamentals, such as Grafana, monitoring, and Linux, is a plus.

• Knowledge of the e-commerce/Amazon FBA domain is beneficial.

• Basic knowledge of Next.js/TypeScript is an added advantage.

• Strong systems thinking with a focus on edge cases, scalability, and maintainability.

• Ability to simplify existing code and avoid unnecessary complexities.

• Proactively utilize AI tools and continuously enhance workflows.

• Capability to self-learn new tools, patterns, and domain knowledge independently.
