Mid-Level Full-Stack Web Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate as a member of an agile team to define web application requirements, coding, and creating unit tests following industry best practices and design patterns.

• Engage in the development of technical solutions through collaboration with Product and Quality teams.

• Create, maintain, and improve features for Shift products utilizing approved tools while adhering to coding, architectural, quality, and business guidelines.

• Evaluate functional and non-functional requirements and suggest technical solutions that comply with architectural, quality, and business standards.

• Design, document, implement, and enhance REST APIs according to architecture, security, versioning, and documentation protocols.

• Produce software engineering technical artifacts, including ERDs, class diagrams, UML, and other models.

• Assess technical effort and assist in delivery planning alongside the Agile Lead and the team.

• Maintain technical documentation to ensure it is current and consistent with implemented solutions.

• Develop and run unit, integration, and component tests.

• Recommend functional and technical enhancements to improve Shift products.

• Create solutions adhering to Security by Design principles and comply with security, privacy, and secure development standards.

• Utilize Generative AI tools in development, analysis, documentation, and software engineering, following security, governance, and responsible-use practices.

• Work with Product, Architecture, Quality, Agile, and other teams to clarify requirements, align solutions, and guarantee value-driven deliveries.

• Report blockers, technical risks, and dependencies effectively.

• Participate in code reviews and offer technical insights.

• Diagnose the root causes of technical challenges and propose corrective and preventive measures.

• Assist the Agile Lead in managing delivery processes.

• Contribute to the development of the knowledge base, standards, checklists, documentation, and best practices.

• Encourage continuous learning, innovation, knowledge sharing, and the enhancement of products and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining web applications.

• Front-end development skills with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular 16+.

• Back-end development experience with Java, REST APIs, and SQL.

• Familiarity with relational database modeling.

• Understanding of UML modeling and the ability to interpret technical diagrams.

• Proficient in Git-based version control.

• Sound knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, development best practices, Clean Code, and API design.

• Experience with unit testing and continuous integration (CI/CD) practices.

• Familiarity with Generative AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code, for coding, test generation, documentation, refactoring, and enhancing productivity.

• Strong critical thinking skills and accountability for deliverables.

• Preferred: Experience with Quarkus, Docker, and Docker Compose.
