This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, React applications, and internal tools.
• Take ownership of significant product features and technical enhancements throughout the application stack.
• Ensure secure and reliable software delivery within a fintech context.
• Deploy and provide support for applications in cloud environments.
• Engage in CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring, logging, and production support activities.
• Enhance developer workflows, shared patterns, documentation, and engineering methodologies.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to boost quality, speed, documentation, code reviews, and delivery.
• Contribute to AI-driven product features, workflow automation, and internal productivity tools.
• Collaborate in code reviews, design discussions, release planning, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Advocate for OneEthos’s mission related to environmental, social, economic, and racial justice.
• Deliver high-quality outcomes both independently and collaboratively, on time.
• 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining backend services, APIs, web applications, or internal tools.
• Proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, or equivalent technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or others.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD practices, source control, testing, logging, monitoring, and production support.
• Capability to utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, CodeRabbit, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms.
• Strong commitment to environmental, social, economic, and racial justice.
• Interest in sustainability practices and a willingness to pursue related educational opportunities.
• Proficient communication skills with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Valid U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available from the employer.
• Ability to perform essential functions including sitting, talking, hearing, and occasionally lifting up to 2 lbs.
• Willingness to attend remote meetings and the flexibility to travel or work evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Completion of cognitive and personality assessments is required.
