This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Delve deeply into the product's data model and explore the varying billing formats of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, meticulously documenting your findings.
• Develop automated solutions for data validation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection, utilizing workflows such as Argo or similar tools.
• Analyze data quality issues to identify root causes, rectify them, and implement automated checks to prevent future occurrences.
• Replace manual data verifications prior to customer demonstrations with robust, automated solutions.
• Expand test automation to cover critical areas of the product.
• Collaborate with sales and customer success teams on real-time data inquiries, diagnosing and resolving any issues.
• Leverage AI tools to speed up investigations, generate checks, and triage anomalies.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software or data engineering, or equivalent practical experience in developing and deploying code.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficient in SQL for data transformation and reconciliation, alongside a comfort level with scripting.
• Python is preferred; a strong engineer with expertise in SQL and another programming language who is willing to learn Python will be well-suited for this role.
• A preference for automating checks instead of performing them manually.
• An interest in becoming the recognized authority on how the three major cloud providers represent billing.
• Familiarity with AI tools, applied judiciously, to enhance coverage and expedite processes.
• Experience with cloud billing in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as in FinOps or related financial data fields.
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks such as dbt tests, Great Expectations, or Soda.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Argo, Airflow, Dagster) and data pipeline or ETL processes.
• Proficient in test automation and continuous integration for data or application surfaces.
• Proven experience in ensuring data integrity for customer-facing or revenue-critical applications.
