Senior Cloud Data Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop a cloud-native database platform utilizing public cloud infrastructure.

• Engage in the creation of an in-house Kubernetes operator for efficient infrastructure management.

• Enhance the metrics pipeline for better data processing.

• Create systems that yield improved statistics and recommendations.

• Collaborate with the ClickHouse core development team and data plane teams to address infrastructure use cases and advance internal infrastructure.

• Design and construct robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in software development, focusing on building and managing scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with Go, C++, or Java in a production environment.

• Experience with PagerDuty on-call responsibilities and production debugging.

• Strong aptitude for problem-solving.

• Proficiency in AWS, GCP, or Azure, and familiarity with infrastructure-as-a-service offerings like EC2.

• Experience in data storage, ingestion, and transformation using tools such as Spark, Kafka, or similar technologies.

• Background in working with distributed systems.

• Exceptional communication skills and capability to collaborate across engineering teams.
