Manager, Data Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage, clean, and manipulate data within operational and analytics databases

• Collaborate with data scientists, analytics teams, reporting teams, and IT to comprehend and assist in executing database requirements

• Evaluate performance and troubleshoot existing problems

• Design, develop, and sustain Google BigQuery data warehouse solutions

• Implement data pipelines and ETL processes for data integration and analytics

• Coordinate with technical Data Suppliers to obtain data feeds

• Validate deliveries from Data Suppliers and address technical and data-related issues

• Work with cross-functional teams to collect requirements and deliver effective data solutions

• Keep operational documents up to date

• Develop optimal data pipeline architecture and resolve data integration and job scheduling challenges

• Remain informed about trends and best practices in Snowflake and AWS

• Offer Snowflake best-practice support and training to team members

• Identify and execute process improvements, automate manual tasks, enhance data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for scalability

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent/above) in Computer Science or Information Technology

• Proficient in SQL

• 3-4+ years of experience working with SQL on large-scale datasets

• Experience in Cloud-based Data Engineering, including the design, implementation, and operationalization of large-scale data and analytics solutions, preferably with Snowflake

• Proficiency in the Python programming language

• Familiarity with the ETL development life cycle and best practices for ETL pipelines

• Comprehensive experience with data warehouses using a mix of Python, BigQuery, and GCP Services

• Experience in marketing/advertising is highly advantageous

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work effectively under pressure
