Software Engineer – Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Construct the foundational data architecture of the PhareOS Stack, encompassing backend schemas and APIs that support the AI engine and user-facing applications.

• Design and manage extensive data pipelines, backend services, and APIs for AI-driven healthcare applications.

• Develop scalable data infrastructure utilizing contemporary data engineering technologies, streaming platforms, and cloud-native architectures.

• Collaborate with AI, machine learning, and product teams to establish dependable data foundations for both internal models and customer-facing products.

• Enhance observability, reliability, and operational excellence through effective monitoring, automation, and proactive system management.

• Take ownership of essential production systems, influence architectural decisions, and contribute to the evolution of the data platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years focused on high-throughput data pipelines and distributed data systems.

• Strong expertise in Scala and SQL.

• Proven experience in designing and managing production-grade data platforms.

• Proficient in building microservices, APIs, and ETL pipelines using Python, Java, or Go.

• Practical experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or other data orchestration and streaming technologies.

• Skilled in designing API integrations and distributed systems that engage with external partners and enterprise applications.

• Familiarity with infrastructure and containerization technologies such as Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Experience in operating business-critical systems and participating in on-call support rotations.
