This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create production software and data systems that extend beyond conventional ETL pipelines.
• Lead software and data engineering efforts for a key initiative with a prestigious banking client.
• Engage directly with cloud-native technologies and contemporary architecture.
• Build back-end systems with a focus on data.
• Execute enterprise-level data movement and transformation during data migration processes.
• Examine extensive datasets utilizing cloud data platforms.
• Design real-time, event-driven data streams.
• Collaborate on large-scale cloud data warehousing, enhancing performance, and data modeling.
• Over 5 years of experience in application development with robust Python programming abilities.
• More than 4 years of practical experience with AWS cloud services.
• At least 4 years working with relational databases, including PostgreSQL, and crafting complex SQL queries.
• Experience in data migration activities within cloud environments, concentrating on enterprise-level data movement and transformation.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake for analyzing large datasets.
• Knowledge of distributed data processing and batch/stream processing tools like Apache Spark, Kafka, or AWS Kinesis.
• Experience using workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or equivalent.
• Understanding of enterprise ETL pipelines, Data Quality controls, and compliance governance.
• Hands-on experience architecting real-time, event-driven data streams using Kafka/OneStream.
• Familiarity with large-scale cloud data warehousing, performance enhancement, and modeling in Snowflake and OneLake.
• Bachelor's Degree; if lacking a degree, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in technology for each year of missing college education, in addition to the minimum experience required for the role.
• Nice to have: Experience in Java development.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with AWS Glue or other AWS data integration services.
• Nice to have: Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments, including basic shell scripting.
• Nice to have: Experience working in Agile teams and understanding of Agile engineering practices.
