This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Define and execute the enterprise data architecture for the organization, encompassing data models, pipelines, and platform strategies.
• Oversee the integration of internal platforms like Salesforce and CX systems with third-party applications.
• Set and uphold standards for data quality, metadata management, lineage, and classification.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance teams on policies regarding privacy, retention, and access control.
• Ensure compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS regulations.
• Conduct data risk reviews, assist with vendor onboarding, and guarantee readiness for technical audits.
• Supervise and mentor data engineers, analysts, and specialists.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional growth initiatives.
• Promote the adoption of data best practices and encourage a data-driven culture.
• Provide thought leadership concerning modern data stacks, cloud data architecture, and advanced analytics.
• Lead the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise data platforms.
• Assess and implement ELT tools, DBT, Kafka, and cloud-native services.
• Support enterprise analytics, AI/ML use cases, and organization-wide data warehousing efforts.
• Report directly to the Director of Enterprise Applications & Data.
• Initially manage one direct report, with the potential for team growth.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent years of experience).
• Over 8 years of advanced experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficient with modern data stacks, including ELT tools, DBT, Kafka, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Experience managing cross-functional data teams.
• Strong understanding of data modeling (OLTP/OLAP), APIs, and system integration.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS standards.
• Experience in AI/ML, predictive analytics, or advanced data science applications.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Capability to work independently and adhere to deadlines.
• Ability to maintain regular business hours with a flexible schedule.
• Willingness to travel 10% as needed.
• Preferred professional certifications include CDMP, AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty, or TOGAF.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
