This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain a robust and secure data architecture within Snowflake.
• Create and enhance Snowflake objects, such as tables, dynamic tables, views, and warehouses.
• Oversee Snowflake security and access management.
• Collaborate with the Integration team to manage ETL pipelines to and from the data warehouse utilizing Snowflake-native tools, Informatica, and MuleSoft.
• Facilitate the deployment of Snowflake modifications across various environments, including production, using GitHub.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and lineage throughout the data pipelines.
• Write and refine queries for performance optimization and efficient warehouse usage.
• Monitor and manage Snowflake compute expenses.
• Develop scripts for data movement and ETL/ELT processes between AWS and Snowflake.
• Work with cloud services like AWS, S3, Azure, GCP, and blob storage.
• Provide support for the production Enterprise Data Warehouse environment, addressing ingestion and transformation challenges.
• Conduct unit testing and meticulously document development processes.
• Collaborate with data analysts, governance, and Business Intelligence teams to facilitate analytics.
• Assist the Data Architect and Business Intelligence teams in developing optimized data models.
• Convert business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s mission and programs.
• Perform additional related duties as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in designing and implementing fully operational, production-grade large-scale data solutions.
• Practical experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Familiarity with enterprise data management concepts such as governance, engineering, science, lakes, warehouses, sharing, and applications.
• Experience leveraging GitHub for deployment processes.
• Proficient SQL skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of data modeling methodologies, including Kimball and Data Vault.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to solve problems in environments with ambiguous requirements.
