Software Engineer, Credit Card

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement backend services that drive OnePay’s co-branded credit card offerings and partner integrations.

• Design APIs and event-driven architectures that securely manage sensitive financial information at scale.

• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and platform teams to fulfill regulatory and security obligations.

• Take responsibility for the reliability and performance of systems that handle real-time credit transactions.

• Influence technical choices regarding system architecture, ensuring a balance between scalability, security, and delivery efficiency.

• Guide engineers and enhance code quality, testing methodologies, and operational practices.

• Utilize technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, Kubernetes, AWS, and a microservice-oriented architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in backend or distributed systems development.

• Proven experience in creating and managing production-grade APIs and microservices within a regulated or highly compliant sector (such as fintech, payments, banking, or similar).

• Expertise in Node.js or other contemporary backend frameworks (including TypeScript, NestJS, Go, or Java).

• Understanding of cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, AWS) and event-driven or microservice-oriented systems.

• Comprehensive knowledge of data security, PCI compliance, or related standards that safeguard sensitive financial information.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across product, risk, and platform teams.

• Self-motivated and proactive.

• Familiarity with contemporary software engineering practices.

• Authorization to work legally in the United States.

• Requirement to disclose if sponsorship for an immigration case by OnePay is necessary.
