Software Engineer, CDP – Foundations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and sustain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services within a microservices and distributed architecture.

• Create internal and customer-facing APIs that serve as foundational elements for CDP, ensuring clean design and an exceptional developer experience.

• Oversee the complete feature delivery process, from implementation to deployment and monitoring.

• Tackle technical debt while promoting enhancements in reliability and observability.

• Engage in code reviews and participate in the on-call rotation.

• Lead the response to incidents.

• Cultivate a team atmosphere that encourages constructive feedback and upholds high standards of code quality.

• Develop core platform capabilities that empower businesses to launch and expand crypto products.

• Design and deploy backend services and APIs that provide secure access to Coinbase’s crypto infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in building and maintaining production backend services within a microservices or distributed systems environment.

• Proven experience in designing and delivering internal or customer-facing APIs, emphasizing high-quality developer experience and clean interface design.

• Familiarity with deployment and testing in microservice ecosystems, including structured observability and monitoring tools.

• Strong ability to articulate technical trade-offs effectively in writing and during live discussions with cross-functional teams.

• Responsible utilization of generative AI with appropriate human oversight.

• Proficiency in using generative AI tools and copilots such as LibreChat, Gemini, and Glean in everyday workflows.

• Commitment to continuous learning as generative AI tools advance.
