Software Engineer – Business Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain well-tested backend services and APIs that support certification, commerce, and learner-communication workflows.

• Integrate certification workflows with commerce, communications, payment processors, learning management systems, and credentialing vendors.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify, comprehend, and document project requirements.

• Work together with team members, providing and receiving constructive feedback.

• Adhere to established team standards and contribute to their enhancement.

• Utilize test-driven development to produce high-quality, maintainable solutions.

• Share knowledge and apply learning within the team.

• Assist in the adoption of emerging AI paradigms, including agentic development and LDD.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in modern AI development practices, particularly in architecting and utilizing AI agents, Large Language Models (LLMs), and LDD principles.

• Over 3 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining production software services, preferably in a cloud-native setting.

• Proficient in at least one programming language (Go and Python are utilized).

• Skilled in test-driven development.

• Knowledgeable in Git, including cherry picking, squashing, and rebasing.

• Experienced in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions is employed).

• Proficient in designing, writing, and working with APIs, including integration with third-party services such as payment processors, learning management systems, and credentialing platforms.

• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS is utilized) and monitoring and observability tools to support and troubleshoot the services you develop.

• Successful completion of employment verification and background checks after accepting an offer.

• Verification of job titles and employment dates with two previous employers.
