Software Engineer – Backend, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create back-end applications utilizing object-oriented Java and design patterns.

• Build and sustain REST applications and services.

• Assist in developing solutions based on microservices and distributed architectures.

• Engage in the implementation of solutions employing Spring Cloud, Kubernetes, and Kafka integrations.

• Develop front-end functionalities using React and/or Angular.

• Implement SOLID principles, Clean Code, and best practices in development.

• Take part in code reviews and collaborate to enhance the technical quality of the codebase.

• Design and execute unit tests.

• Operate within agile teams utilizing Scrum and Kanban methodologies.

• Contribute to the collective design of products and solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in back-end development with Java.

• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

• Familiarity with design patterns.

• Experience in REST API development.

• Knowledge of Git for version control.

• Awareness of software development best practices and architectural principles.

• Understanding of SOLID, Clean Code, and code review processes.

• Experience with or exposure to agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Basic knowledge of React and/or Angular.

• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.

• Understanding of event-driven architecture.

• Knowledge of Spring WebFlux.

• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and WireMock.

• Awareness of Design Systems (Diana).

• Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and process automation.

• Knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD practices.

• Understanding of Consul.

• Experience with AWS services such as ECS, SQS, and S3.

• Knowledge of DevConsole.

• Familiarity with Spring Cloud Stream.

• Understanding of Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.

• Experience with or exposure to Kafka and distributed messaging systems.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments.
