This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Expedite the delivery of new social networking features and networks to clients.
• Develop clean, well-tested, and maintainable code utilizing Java, Python, MySQL, NSQ, Hbase, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to outline requirements, complete features, and identify obstacles.
• Take ownership of code through production deployment, including the identification and communication of risks or issues.
• Review pull requests and design documents from peers.
• Deploy and modify systems in production.
• Engage with SQL or NoSQL data storage and messaging systems.
• Monitor the health of production services.
• Establish and prioritize quarterly team objectives.
• Participate in Agile retrospectives, technical design meetings, and architectural discussions.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX developers, and front-end engineers on minimum viable products (MVPs).
• Provide initial support for product outages and bugs.
• Maintain, scale, and develop systems that manage hundreds of thousands of messages daily.
• Identify technical debt and performance bottlenecks while advocating for enhancements in production.
• Integrate monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Act as the point person and domain expert on projects, coordinating dependencies and drafting design documents.
• Exhibit ownership of the codebase from design to maintenance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing and supporting software in a production setting.
• At least 2 years of experience programming in object-oriented languages such as Java, C#, Python, or C++.
• Proficient in professional English for both verbal and written communication.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in developing front-end applications.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience utilizing third-party APIs and building resilient systems.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Preferred: Professional proficiency in Polish for both verbal and written communication.
• Eligibility for Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
