Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Designs and develops intricate Java applications, microservices, and REST APIs.

• Creates technical specifications and segments work into tasks while providing estimates.

• Oversees code review processes and upholds coding and security standards.

• Enhances application performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Diagnoses and resolves complex issues in production environments.

• Guides Java developers and fosters their professional development.

• Collaborates with DevOps teams to optimize build and deployment pipelines.

• Executes additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

• Over 7 years of experience in Java development.

• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.

• Proficient in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or Db2.

• Familiarity with Git, Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

• Regularly required to utilize standard office equipment, including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners, and printers.

• Preferred: Experience with containerization and cloud services such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.

• Preferred: Oracle Certified Professional Java certification.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting federal government contracts.
