This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design and implement new features while enhancing existing systems, prioritizing quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Recommend structural enhancements to the system, utilizing extensive software architecture knowledge.
• Execute integrations between both internal and external services, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Produce clean, testable, and efficient code that adheres to engineering best practices and industry standards.
• Develop and implement automated and unit tests.
• Work collaboratively with product, QA, front-end, and data teams to guarantee comprehensive delivery.
• Engage in code reviews and foster collective learning while upholding technical standards.
• Track and enhance application performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
• Document workflows, system architectures, and the practices adopted.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies, including planning meetings, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Mentor and support junior developers.
• Extensive experience in back-end development using Java.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
• Proven experience with large data sets and complex, resource-intensive queries.
• Understanding of modular service architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in automated testing, version control (Git), and CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of AI-driven code generation tools (Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
• Prior experience working within digital product teams and familiar with Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with effective communication skills for interacting with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Preferred: background in healthtech or highly technical companies.
• Preferred: experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, SQS, Beanstalk).
• Preferred: experience in developing solutions utilizing AI tools.
• Preferred: familiarity with observability, monitoring, and SRE best practices.
• Preferred: previous experience in high-scale environments handling significant data volumes.
