This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and manage cloud services and infrastructure for Passport and Authentication systems.
• Create, build, test, and sustain cloud services and workflows.
• Design and operate cloud-native services utilizing AWS and GCP.
• Utilize Go and Python to produce production-ready code from conception to deployment and operational support.
• Implement AWS technologies such as Kinesis, DynamoDB, and S3.
• Enhance service reliability, scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Assess technical trade-offs related to reliability, latency, security, cost, complexity, and delivery timelines.
• Recognize technical challenges and operational risks while collaborating on solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineering, test engineering, research, and product teams.
• Engage in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions.
• Investigate and resolve production-related issues.
• Enhance monitoring, alerting, runbooks, deployments, and overall service quality.
• Leverage observability tools to troubleshoot systems and minimize recurring operational challenges.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.
• Participate in the team's on-call rotation.
• 2–5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Golang (Go).
• Familiarity with cloud computing environments, particularly AWS or GCP.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
• Knowledge of data storage technologies like Redis and MySQL.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration frameworks, such as Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix system internals.
• Proven experience in delivering stable and secure production code.
• Experience collaborating closely with Product and Customer Engagement teams.
• Background in customer interactions and real-world use cases in Pindrop or a related security field is preferred.
• Experience with AWS managed services such as S3, ElastiCache, and DynamoDB is preferred.
• Familiarity with building microservices and RESTful APIs is preferred.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, and Spinnaker is preferred.
• Background in Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform or AWS CDK is preferred.
• Python experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail in documentation.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and handle after-hours alerts.
