This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +15 more states.
• Develop features and resolve bugs across the entire stack, from specified tasks to features managed through production.
• Produce clean, readable, and maintainable code, ensuring that automated tests accompany every update.
• Navigate existing codebases with confidence, making small and safe modifications.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to grasp customer challenges.
• Engage in code reviews and offer constructive criticism.
• Adhere to coding standards while proposing enhancements.
• Investigate and rectify bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement security measures through input validation, authorization checks, and error handling.
• Introduce logging, monitoring, and testing, utilizing outcomes to enhance features.
• Regularly pair and mob program with colleagues.
• Revise technical documentation, including API contracts and design notes.
• Take part in architectural discussions.
• Enhance tools, documentation, CI/CD processes, and team methodologies.
• Contribute to production support and incident evaluations.
• Report to an Engineering Manager while collaborating with engineers, Product Managers, and Designers.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of TixTrack's nLiven real-time ticketing platform for performing arts and cultural institutions.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Level 1: Up to two years of professional software development experience; internships, co-ops, and significant personal or open-source projects are considered.
• Level 2: Two or more years of full stack development experience in a SaaS or technology-focused setting.
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Experience in back-end or API development.
• Proficiency in .NET Core is preferred, or a similar technology stack with a willingness to learn .NET.
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases; data modeling experience is required for Level 2 candidates.
• Experience with automated testing; Level 2 candidates should be capable of writing unit and integration tests as part of their daily development routine.
• Proficient in using Git for version control.
• A solid understanding of computer science principles.
• A curious mindset and a strong eagerness to learn.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to articulate technical decisions clearly.
• Receptiveness to feedback.
• Capability to work independently and discern when to seek assistance.
• Strong time management skills.
