Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Develop efficient and scalable Python code to support the integration of systems into a unified AI-driven platform.

• Streamline build, testing, and deployment processes using Jenkins and tools for Infrastructure as Code like Terraform and Ansible.

• Take full ownership of CI/CD pipelines from start to finish.

• Create and sustain automated unit, integration, and regression testing suites.

• Incorporate test coverage analysis, code quality evaluations, and security checkpoints utilizing tools such as SonarQube and Snyk.

• Package and deploy workloads using Docker and associated containerization technologies.

• Investigate, troubleshoot test failures, update tests, and log bugs as required.

• Collaborate with human-centered design specialists to develop intuitive, responsive, and personalized solutions.

• Enhance back-end components to boost responsiveness and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of practical software engineering experience, with a strong proficiency in Python and related technologies.

• Proven experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or DevTestOps methodologies.

• Background in automating build, testing, and deployment workflows.

• Experience in creating automated tests and integrating them into pipelines with code quality checks and security measures.

• Familiarity with scalable and maintainable pipelines that work with testing frameworks.

• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.

• Comfortable working with REST APIs.

• Proficient in Scrum, Lean, or SAFe methodologies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

• Acceptable results from a background investigation.

• Experience with AI, NLP, LLM, or ML-driven applications is a plus.

• Previous experience supporting CMS or federal agencies is advantageous.

• Familiarity with FISMA boundaries or ATO/cATO processes would be beneficial.
