Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Engage in the Software Engineering Leadership Program.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications, features, and services utilizing C#, .NET, .NET Framework, along with modern programming languages and frameworks.

• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to comprehend product requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

• Implement features and troubleshoot issues.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to facilitate automated builds and deployments.

• Work on integrations with third-party APIs and internal services.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

• Define test cases and automate testing processes.

• Debug and resolve application issues, escalating them as needed.

• Monitor application health and performance using logs, metrics, alerts, dashboards, and observability tools.

• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and ongoing learning initiatives.

• Document technical solutions and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

• Collaborate with distributed engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to develop healthcare software.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Familiarity with C#, .NET, and principles of object-oriented programming.

• Understanding of software development fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

• Familiarity with web services, REST APIs, and cloud technologies, preferably AWS.

• Exposure to relational databases, with a preference for SQL Server.

• Experience or familiarity with RESTful APIs, SQL Server, Mongo, Redis, RabbitMQ, MSMQ, SQS, AWS, GCP, Azure, and healthcare IT standards like HL7, FHIR, or SMART on FHIR.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen willingness to learn.

• Capacity to work effectively within a highly distributed team.

• Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills.
