Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with various departments to address application development, support, and maintenance needs.

• Assist in defining the scope and estimating the effort required for tasks.

• Participate in the gathering of business requirements.

• Work alongside the solution design team to ensure compliance with design standards.

• Follow established processes diligently.

• Create application code to meet project demands.

• Generate technical documentation as necessary.

• Develop unit testing applications for deployment in the production environment.

• Engage with business unit and analysis personnel during the requirements gathering process.

• Provide mentorship to development team members regarding the technical complexities of assigned tasks.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or four years of pertinent work experience is mandatory.

• A minimum of three to five years of professional experience is essential.

• Understanding of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in application development.

• Familiarity with computer systems, hardware, and software operations and principles.

• Strong skills in problem-solving, evaluation, creativity, and ingenuity.

• Excellent teamwork abilities.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

• General understanding of design patterns and principles, particularly Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

• Basic knowledge of architectural concepts and SOLID Principles of Object-Oriented Development.

• Practical experience with Microsoft .NET Framework, Visual Studio, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, Entity Framework, Web API, and LINQ.

• Proficient in JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, CSS, HTML, XML, and XSLT.

• Familiarity with SQL Server, T-SQL, and relational database concepts.

• Proficient in C#.

• Knowledge of Responsive Web Design (RWD).
