This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Collaborate with product management and organizational stakeholders to comprehend business and product strategies.
• Create software that addresses both current and future business requirements.
• Evaluate existing capabilities, pinpoint gaps, and establish a unified technology architecture.
• Implement the architecture alongside the software engineering team, ensuring applications are scalable.
• Conceptualize and communicate the technical landscape throughout the development organization.
• Review current systems and make informed decisions regarding future development in collaboration with management.
• Assess the financial, security, and compliance implications of proposed technical modifications.
• Discover technical solutions, weigh tradeoffs, and offer informed recommendations.
• Develop and keep up-to-date written and visual representations of application architecture.
• Maintain an architecture roadmap and efficiently prioritize tasks.
• Analyze instrumentation and logging to detect technical shortcomings.
• Convey complex technical decisions and constraints to various audiences.
• Write and sustain code across multiple programming languages.
• Conduct code reviews and support engineers in implementing architectural components.
• Ensure that the software architecture satisfies quality, security, and scaling requirements.
• Provide clarity and alignment on technology vision across the development team.
• Achieve measurable advancements on the architecture roadmap.
• Mentor and train fellow engineers.
• At least 7 years of experience in a Senior Software Engineer role or another technical leadership position.
• A minimum of 2 years in developing cloud-native applications.
• Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with traditional and unstructured data storage systems at scale, including several exceeding 100GB.
• Strong familiarity with three or more modern programming languages.
• Prior experience with DevOps technologies such as Docker and Jenkins.
• Understanding of software delivery pipelines.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Preferred experience with .NET Core, MySQL, Vue.js, and NodeJS.
• Experience in the Financial Services or FinTech sector is preferred.
• Familiarity with integrating machine learning models into applications is preferred.
