This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.
• Oversee the development and implementation of modeling and simulation software solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to various engineering teams.
• Design and execute DevSecOps pipelines utilizing GitLab CI/CD.
• Create and sustain software systems in C++ tailored for high-performance applications.
• Establish and manage artifact pipelines through Artifactory.
• Develop and maintain cross-platform applications in both Linux and Windows environments.
• Conduct development and optimization tasks within RHEL-based systems.
• Contribute to secure system design, implementation, and adherence to compliance practices.
• Integrate simulation tools and services into broader platform architectures.
• Assist in system integration, testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with mission objectives.
• Maintain documentation and uphold best practices throughout development lifecycles.
• Develop and execute secure, end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles in cloud environments.
• Lead the development of platform administrative and service components, including user management, licensing, usage tracking, application onboarding, and core platform infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret level.
• Over 5 years of experience in Modeling & Simulation development.
• Strong expertise in C++ programming.
• Proven experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and secure software delivery.
• Experience in managing artifacts using Artifactory.
• Robust experience in cross-platform development across Linux and Windows environments.
• Familiarity with development in RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) environments.
• Experience with MATLAB for modeling or simulation purposes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong analytical and system design capabilities.
• Desired: Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Desired: Experience in Aerospace modeling or simulation development.
• Desired: Knowledge of AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling).
• Desired: Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for Agile project management.
• Desired: Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript.
• Desired: Experience with integration of complex systems and toolchains.
• Desired: Familiarity with OMS, JSE, or similar frameworks.
• Desired: Experience with cloud-based development environments.
• Desired: Background in distributed systems or large-scale simulation platforms.
