Associate Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with seasoned software engineers and technical experts.

• Create, develop, and sustain HealthStream software products following industry best practices and product offerings.

• Partner with team leaders and senior developers to grasp and refine requirements.

• Design and estimate the effort required for new features or subsystems, from initial business concepts to detailed technical designs.

• Produce high-quality, defect-free software that complies with company coding and documentation standards.

• Follow HealthStream security policies, procedures, and complete assigned training.

• Conduct basic troubleshooting utilizing a code debugger.

• Identify issues in code, server configurations, or databases.

• Utilize a fundamental understanding of CI/CD and code deployment methodologies.

• Work with integrated development environments and source control systems.

• Regularly leverage AI tools to improve quality and personal productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• One year of preferred software development experience.

• Basic understanding of CI/CD and code deployment methodologies.

• Basic experience with SQL and relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.

• Some experience writing unit tests.

• Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance personal productivity and quality.

• Preferred: Proficiency in C# programming language and .NET development.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Entity Framework Core.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud concepts.

• Preferred: Experience with Infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear interaction with team members.

• Excellent logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

• Exceptional time management, prioritization, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Willingness to learn through self-directed courseware and mentoring.
