Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.

• Manage build configurations and work on projects based on Gradle.

• Develop and sustain frontend components using AngularJS.

• Contribute to application development using Kotlin and Python when applicable.

• Build and deploy applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Write efficient SQL queries and collaborate with relational databases.

• Engage in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.

• Work together with product managers, QA, and other engineers to deliver top-notch solutions.

• Provide technical leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development, with a significant emphasis on Java engineering.

• Strong expertise in Java, particularly with Spring Boot and Spring Batch.

• Experience with Gradle projects.

• Proficient knowledge of AngularJS for frontend development.

• Practical experience with Kotlin and Python.

• Familiarity with AWS services, including deployment, monitoring, or development.

• Advanced SQL skills and database management capabilities.

• Understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture.

• In-depth knowledge of software architecture, including system design, architectural patterns, scalability, resiliency, performance, and security trade-offs.

• Fluent in both verbal and written English.

• Experience with AI coding assistants and generative AI tools is preferred or considered a plus.
