Senior Mobile Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop Brim's new cross-platform mobile application from the ground up.

• Take full responsibility for architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Select and establish the technology stack, project organization, CI/CD pipeline, and coding guidelines.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to transform requirements and mockups into refined user experiences.

• Integrate with Brim's APIs and backend services.

• Work together with platform engineers for necessary backend modifications.

• Focus on security, privacy, and reliability during the development process.

• Oversee the submission and release processes for the Apple App Store and Google Play.

• Monitor application performance and stability after launch.

• Resolve bugs and implement regular enhancements based on user feedback and data analysis.

• Document the codebase and important decisions for team handoff or scaling.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in building and launching mobile applications.

• At least 3 years of experience with a cross-platform framework.

• Strong expertise in React Native.

• Familiarity with native iOS and Android, including Swift and Kotlin.

• Proven experience in launching at least one app on the App Store and/or Google Play and managing the release process.

• Experience in integrating REST APIs.

• Knowledge of authentication, state management, and local data storage.

• Understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices, performance optimization, and accessibility.

• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD processes for mobile applications.

• Strong sense of ownership and capability to prioritize and deliver with minimal supervision.

• Interest in AI tools and a willingness to employ them.

• Excellent ability to communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical team members.
