Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of CI/CD and infrastructure design across various supported teams.

• Establish architecture and deployment strategies, including blue/green deployments, canary releases, and feature flags.

• Create specifications that guide AI-driven pipelines, infrastructure code, and automation processes.

• Develop infrastructure and automation solutions as required.

• Design and validate tests for pipelines, implement policy-as-code, and establish security gates.

• Create and maintain shared Cloud Operations standards, patterns, tools, and practices.

• Oversee application observability and instrument services that are supported.

• Align alerting mechanisms with product Service Level Objectives (SLOs).

• Assist engineers in debugging and resolving production challenges.

• Engage in reviews, deployment decisions, on-call responses, and incident analysis.

• Mentor engineers on specifying, delegating, and validating tasks using AI.

• Support the entire delivery lifecycle for application teams, encompassing design, pipelines, security, and production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Agentic AI serves as the main interface for planning and constructing CI/CD and infrastructure.

• Proven experience in building and managing production CI/CD and cloud infrastructure at scale.

• Familiarity with either AWS or Azure platforms.

• Experience handling on-call responsibilities.

• Systems should incorporate testing, security, and observability from the outset.

• Proven ability to collaborate across multiple application teams and with Cloud Operations colleagues.

• Practical experience with containers and Kubernetes for application workloads.

• Proficiency with Helm or similar tools.

• Experience with serverless computing functions.

• Practical experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM.

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python or Java.

• Familiarity with SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets scanning techniques.

• Experience with implementing least-privilege IAM policies.

• Knowledge of encryption methods for data in transit and at rest.

• Experience working within HIPAA/HITRUST and SOC 2 compliance frameworks.
