Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications utilizing React, .NET C# Web API, and SQL.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in accordance with established coding standards and best practices.

• Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, encompassing requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

• Implement object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and best practices in software engineering.

• Develop and enhance database queries while contributing to database design and performance enhancements.

• Diagnose, debug, and rectify software defects and application problems.

• Collaborate with Product, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and development processes.

• Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members.

• Create reusable components and shared functionalities to enhance development efficiency.

• Assist in application performance, scalability, and security initiatives.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies, development tools, and industry best practices.

• Deliver software features and projects with minimal supervision.

• Contribute to technical discussions, solution designs, and code reviews.

• Support and mentor junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience in a commercial setting.

• 2–4 years of strong proficiency in .NET C#, ASP.NET Core/Web API, React, and SQL.

• 2–4 years of familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web development concepts.

• 1–3 years of experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.

• 2–4 years of understanding in object-oriented programming, design patterns, Git, SDLC, data structures and algorithms, and relational database design and normalization.

• 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting and debugging complex application issues.

• 1–3 years of familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• 2–4 years of knowledge regarding software security principles and secure coding practices.

• 2–4 years of capability to analyze requirements and develop scalable, maintainable solutions.

• 2–4 years of strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

• 1–3 years of ability to work independently while effectively contributing within a team environment.

• Preferred: exposure to cloud-based environments and deployment practices.

• Preferred: experience with Python or other programming languages.

• Preferred: experience in developing reusable component libraries or shared frameworks.

• Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Preferred: experience with Vite or similar front-end build tools.
