Software Engineer 3 – Sensor, macOS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and create software intended for deployment on macOS platforms

• Take ownership of features from initial design through to delivery

• Collaborate with multifunctional teams located in various physical locations

• Responsively troubleshoot product issues reported by customers

• Develop and maintain essential macOS sensor components in user space utilizing C++ and Swift

• Construct platforms aimed at prevention, detection, and response capabilities

• Engage in features related to file systems, memory, processes, and networking subsystems

• Contribute to shared components across Windows and Linux operating systems

• Work on the lightweight sensor agent that monitors system activities, identifies malicious behavior, provides on-device prevention, and transmits telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud

• Undertake additional projects as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in developing high-quality code in C/C++ and Swift, as evidenced by job experience, academic work, or contributions to community initiatives

• Experience in developing product code specifically for macOS

• Familiarity with high-concurrency requirements and multithreading

• Knowledge of high-reliability requirements

• Understanding of low-level operating characteristics, such as memory usage, performance efficiency, and adherence to external standards

• Experience collaborating within a team to deliver major features and releases

• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work successfully in a distributed team

• Proven experience in leveraging AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, enhance efficiency, and drive business outcomes

• Previous experience with endpoint products, cybersecurity, or networking technologies is a plus
