Software Engineer 2, Applied AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with business unit leaders to conceptualize and develop AI-native systems utilizing large language models (LLMs), AI agents, and intelligent workflows.

• Quickly prototype and implement AI tools and products designed to automate workflows, improve internal systems, and unlock AI-driven functionalities.

• Create AI agents and autonomous workflows powered by large language models.

• Design systems that integrate LLMs, APIs, and external tools to automate intricate workflows.

• Develop Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and knowledge retrieval frameworks.

• Experiment with contemporary AI orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, CrewAI, or comparable tools.

• Craft AI-powered solutions that enhance learning workflows, content creation, and internal productivity.

• Prototype and introduce AI-first product concepts in partnership with the founders.

• Assess and enhance AI systems to ensure reliability, response quality, and performance.

• Optimize AI workflows for reduced latency, cost efficiency, and scalability.

• Keep abreast of the evolving landscape of LLMs, AI agents, and applied AI tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 to 4 years of software development experience or a computer science degree, with a focus on building production-grade software systems.

• Experience in developing Agentic AI projects or recent involvement in similar initiatives.

• Proficient programming skills in Python.

• Practical experience in creating LLM-powered applications, AI assistants, or agent-based systems.

• Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, or other similar tools.

• Understanding of vector databases, embeddings, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.

• Experience in integrating LLMs with external tools, APIs, and structured data sources.

• Knowledge of prompt engineering, tool invocation, and agent orchestration.

• Proven track record in building and deploying AI systems from prototype to production, considering reliability, latency, and cost factors.

• Strong comprehension of backend systems, APIs, and scalable system design.

• A strong builder mindset, capable of rapidly prototyping and iterating on AI-driven solutions.

• A keen interest in leveraging AI for learning systems, knowledge discovery, and productivity enhancements.
