Software Developer – Moodle, PHP, E-Learning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Ongoing enhancement and optimization of our Moodle-based learning platform

• Creation of new plugins, extensions, and interfaces

• Updating and modernizing current Moodle components

• Evaluation and improvement of performance, security, and user experience

• Participation in the technical design of new digital learning solutions

• Close cooperation with our Learning Design team to craft innovative instructional strategies

• Integration of external systems through REST APIs and standards like LTI and SCORM

• Assistance with updates, releases, and quality assurance processes

• Technical support and troubleshooting for our Moodle environment

• Documentation of developments and best practices

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field

• Several years of experience in Moodle development

• Strong expertise in PHP and the Moodle core APIs

• Experience with MySQL/MariaDB

• Proficient use of Git

• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript

• Familiarity with web services, REST APIs, and authentication methods (OAuth, SAML, LDAP) is preferred

• Independent, organized, and solution-focused work style

• Enjoyment of teamwork and a keen interest in modern technologies
