Software Developer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop backend software using Java 21 or higher

• Design and implement solutions with Spring Boot and Spring Data

• Apply hexagonal architecture and microservices

• Design APIs with an API First approach utilizing OpenAPI / Swagger

• Implement design patterns, SOLID principles, Clean Code, DDD, and TDD

• Establish event-driven architectures and manage queues, partitioning, consumption, and retries

• Work with Apache Kafka and messaging systems like ActiveMQ

• Design, optimize, and model relational and NoSQL databases

• Manage deployments and CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift, Kubernetes, GitHub, and Spinnaker

• Utilize monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Dynatrace

• Create and maintain unit and integration tests

• Incorporate AI throughout the product lifecycle

• Implement the SDD (Spec Driven Development) methodology

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in backend development

• Java 21 or higher proficiency

• Expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Data

• Knowledge of Hexagonal architecture and microservices

• Experience designing APIs with an API First approach (OpenAPI / Swagger)

• Familiarity with design patterns, SOLID principles, and Clean Code

• Understanding of Domain Driven Design (DDD) and TDD principles

• Experience with Apache Kafka and messaging systems such as ActiveMQ

• Proficiency in event-driven architectures and management of queues, partitioning, consumption, and retries

• Experience with relational databases (MariaDB or others) and NoSQL (MongoDB)

• Skills in query optimization, indexing, scalar functions, tuning, and data modeling

• Experience with OpenShift / Kubernetes

• Familiarity with CI/CD integration and delivery pipelines

• Proficiency in GitHub and Spinnaker

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools: Grafana and Dynatrace

• Ability to create unit tests and integration tests

• Technical application of AI in development

• Use of AI throughout the product lifecycle, from development to deployment

• Familiarity with the SDD (Spec Driven Development) methodology
