This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with all departments to gather product requirements.
• Design, implement, and test system components.
• Assist in the design, development, and deployment of applications utilizing web technologies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical product and end-user support documentation.
• Assess requirements and suggest high-level design and technical solutions.
• Analyze solutions and applications for interoperability, performance, and maintainability.
• Produce high-quality, well-documented code that adheres to coding standards.
• Assess and provide precise development timelines.
• Engage in and conduct code reviews.
• Investigate and resolve intricate technical issues.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of technologies utilized in solution modules, including machine learning, data storage, and data capture frameworks.
• Provide guidance on technical design and industry trends.
• Assist colleagues with complex projects and offer expert advice for escalated challenges.
• Participate in establishing and upholding software development best practices.
• Contribute to all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle, covering analysis, design, implementation, verification, and maintenance.
• Over 5 years of experience in the full software development lifecycle.
• Preferred experience in the healthcare and/or technology sectors.
• Post-secondary education in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent work experience.
• Practical experience with Java and the Spring framework.
• Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational databases using SQL.
• Familiarity with Git for version control in collaborative development settings.
• Strong understanding of the complete software development lifecycle.
• Experience with continuous integration (CI) pipelines for build automation.
• Knowledge of containerization and deployment using Docker.
• Awareness of relevant DevOps practices.
• Experience in developing middleware products.
• Familiarity with unit testing practices (TDD).
• Experience with transaction processing.
• Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Skill in managing repositories with an emphasis on code health and quality.
• Experience in end-to-end feature development.
• Knowledge or experience in healthcare, particularly HL7/FHIR, is advantageous.
• Full-stack development experience, including Angular, JavaScript, Node.js, npm, HTTP protocols, and browser-based development is a plus.
