Software Developer in Test II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Become a part of the Central Quality Engineering Function.

• Act as a representative for Software Developers in Test who collaborate with product teams to integrate quality throughout the development process using tools, automation, infrastructure, reporting, and industry best practices.

• Implement quality strategies across the SaaS platform while enhancing the test pyramid by transitioning from UI-based validation to lower-level testing.

• Optimize CI/CD and developer workflows by improving E2E test data setup, test isolation, execution reliability, feedback loops, and reducing flaky tests.

• Collaborate with the testing team to fulfill functionalities and enhancements based on team roadmaps.

• Offer comprehensive support across the testing team.

• Engage in all testing phases utilizing agentic testing capabilities and AI Test Harnesses.

• Propel quality KPIs, including test coverage, defect trends, test effectiveness, execution health, flakiness, and regression rates.

• Influence quality throughout design, planning, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident reviews.

• Share testing methodologies with developers and fellow SDETs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in Quality Engineering teams within contemporary SaaS or platform organizations in cloud-native settings (AWS).

• Proficiency in scaling automated testing infrastructure, including integration with modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Workflows).

• Familiarity with testing strategies and tools across the pyramid, ranging from unit to E2E, including API contract and integration testing (Cypress, Pact, K6).

• Strong front-end knowledge and fluency in testing with HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Understanding of observability tools and best practices to enhance test signal and feedback loops in the pipeline.

• Excellent communication and coaching abilities, capable of influencing engineering and product stakeholders.

• A collaborative testing mindset across various platforms.

• Experience in leading testing initiatives for distributed teams across multiple regions.

• Background in integrating QA tools like Zephyr Scale and on-prem CI/CD systems (GitHub).

• A strategic growth mindset with a passion for learning and mentoring others, using a pragmatic and system-thinking approach to quality at scale.

• Interest and knowledge in AI-powered testing tools such as CoPilot, Devin, and Claude is an asset.
