Software Developer in Test II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Become a part of the Central Quality Engineering Function representing the SDET team.

• Collaborate with product teams to integrate quality into the development process using tools, automation, infrastructure, reporting, and best practices.

• Implement and enhance quality strategies across the SaaS platform and its test pyramid.

• Optimize CI/CD and developer workflows, focusing on E2E test data setup, test isolation, execution reliability, reduction of flaky tests, and actionable failure signals.

• Facilitate functional testing and ensure the timely delivery of roadmap features and enhancements.

• Engage in various testing phases utilizing agentic testing capabilities and AI test harnesses.

• Lead quality KPIs such as test coverage, defect trends, test effectiveness, execution health, flakiness, and regression rates.

• Impact quality across design, planning, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident review processes.

• Share testing methodologies with developers and other SDETs while adopting an AI-first mindset.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in Quality Engineering teams within contemporary SaaS or platform organizations in cloud-native environments (AWS).

• Proficiency in managing scaling automated testing infrastructure, including integration with modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Workflows).

• Understanding of testing strategies and tools across the pyramid, from unit testing to E2E, including API contract and integration testing (Cypress, Pact, K6).

• Strong front-end knowledge and testing fluency in HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Familiarity with observability tools and best practices for enhancing test signals and pipeline feedback loops.

• Excellent communication and coaching abilities with the capacity to influence engineering and product stakeholders.

• Collaborative testing mindset across platforms.

• Experience in leading testing initiatives for distributed teams across multiple regions.

• Proficiency in integrating QA tools like Zephyr Scale and on-prem CI/CD systems (GitHub).

• A strategic growth mindset and a pragmatic, systems-thinking approach to quality at scale.

• Interest in and knowledge of AI-powered testing tools such as CoPilot, Devin, and Claude is a plus.
