Software Developer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create architectures that ensure consistent, scalable, high-quality, and fault-tolerant microservices.

• Manage and deploy containerized applications utilizing Kubernetes.

• Design and implement communication protocols for distributed systems that are highly scalable.

• Develop reliable and efficient collector code deployed across tens of thousands of customer locations.

• Create tools utilizing NetFlow, Syslog, and various networking standards.

• Enhance the solution by leveraging knowledge of networking devices and protocols.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and product management to produce software components focused on customer needs.

• Utilize AI-driven techniques, intelligent tooling, automation, and data-informed debugging to construct scalable systems, enhance reliability, and expedite delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in developing high-quality code and architectures, ideally in Golang or JavaScript.

• Experience in designing and developing microservices.

• Familiarity with cloud computing, preferably AWS.

• Proven track record in building reliable, highly available, and scalable software using Kafka.

• Proficient in agile methodologies, including Scrum.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployment processes.

• Passionate about mentoring and supporting junior and intermediate team members.

• Eager to research new technologies and provide recommendations based on findings.

• Committed to following processes and proposing improvements.

• Motivated to collaboratively develop elegant, scalable, and modern code.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must complete a 5-minute Predictive Index assessment prior to meeting the hiring manager.
